Web Designer I

Job Summary

We're looking for a creative web designer who can take our clients' ideas and develop dynamic, easy-to-use websites that meet their needs. Your responsibilities include creating wireframes, user interfaces, and functional prototypes according to client specifications. Your job entails monitoring user feedback and performing routine updates to website layouts, which may include developing new pages with particular care when necessary - so that the company's brand and identity remain intact. Our ideal candidate is a team player who takes pride in their work and wants to ensure our customers are satisfied with their finished product.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with clients to assess their wants and expectations for the project.
  • Design attractive pages that are intuitive, functional, and visually appealing across all of our websites to make them best in class.
  • Bring agility with visual design and proficiency in typography, mobile/web UI, color, layout, iconography, and aesthetic sense to our products.
  • With an eye for aesthetics, transform complex interfaces into user experiences that empower the user.
  • Own the product design for the entire product lifecycle: from wireframes, prototypes, and demos to high-fidelity production designs.
  • Conducting website testing (ensuring website function and stability across devices i.e. desktop, mobile, tablet)
  • Implement and command expertise of any software programs (Figma, Webflow, etc.) needed for success.
  • Inspire design thinking across the organization to drive business outcomes.
  • Conduct testing, ensuring website function and stability across devices (desktop, mobile, and tablet).
  • Track and evaluate site performance and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Provide internal support and external customer service throughout the build and launch process of each website.

Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Cloud products (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other visual design tools.
  • Superior expertise in Figma, Webflow, and building design systems.
  • Strong understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3 features and basic understanding of jQuery utility functions.
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues.
  • Thorough understanding of SEO and/or Paid Media (PPC and paid social) best practices.
  • Able to clearly communicate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders from assistant level to CEO.
  • Complete projects on time and within budget.
